Our Integrity Spas - "Paradise Hot Tub"
Integrity Spas - Paradise Party Hot Tub
2020 Model - Sterling Silver w/Coastal Grey Cabinet
Ordered July 2020 / Received October 2020 - - - - -
(delays were experienced due to the pandemic happening - I imagine lots of folks panic purchased to have something to do whilst being quarantined at home so much - but honestly I refuse to blame Integrity for this as so many people have done - it’s kind of expected when this kind of thing is going on so complaining doesn’t help - but Patience and Faith DOES !)
First off - my wife and I went to Spa shows - you know - where they are pushing their local models ‘In-Stock’ - we’ll put your name on it right now and deliver it next week kind of thing - - - the prices scared the crap out of us. Next step - Internet Research - hit - - - Integrity Spas.com
We reviewed all the features - you know - like the ‘Lighted Waterfalls’, multiple interchangeable hydrotherapy jets - - all the kind of things the ‘Spa show’ guys tried to convince us were ‘Exclusive features’ --- BS folks. Literally the only ‘feature’ listed on the Paradise Model - which even the guy I spoke to on the phone admitted was a bit ‘over-hyped’ (Jeff) - is the Included Built In Ice Chest - which truthfully is big enough to hold a Bottle of Champagne with ice cubes around it, or maybe a couple of beers with ice - that’s about it. Was that a deal breaker when we received out tub --- Nooottt ! (it did make us chuckle) - but that isn’t why we took a chance on the Paradise from Integrity. The reason was the List of features, specs for the pumps, water volume movement, ability to redirect flow in so many ways, the ‘Volcano Middle Foot Massage’ fountain, plenty of jets, ease of use, and face it - - - it’s a 10 seater ! (more like 8 adults comfortably with no crowding whatsoever - - - come on guys - - - rotate ! so we can all try all the different spots) and a couple of kids. The price point on the Paradise is what sold us. We received substantially more Hot Tub than we saw at the ‘Spa Shows’ - for literally near ½ the price!
The main reason we chose this over a swim spa model is 2 fold.
#1 - OBVIOUSLY the price point is awesome for what you get - and
#2 - we have the world's smallest backyard that we wanted to turn into our Backyard Paradise - and we have done so. This Paradise tub is 9’ by 7 ½’ and fits extremely nicely under our 10 x 10 Gazebo we purchased from Home Depot (see pics below) and put up by ourselves. We wanted a tub big enough to party with friends, but in the summer - we will be leaving the heater off mostly and having a nice ‘plunge pool’ to relax in - with massage features !
The ordering process can be a bit daunting if you aren’t into spending $$$$ with a website - so if in doubt - just call (which I did) and they will make the ordering process simple and easy to understand.
For those that have complained about the ‘Delivery Process’ - for Pete’s sakes - read the dang website - - they clearly state that the tub will be delivered for free to your driveway. (Exception for Canada and Overseas) If you want it delivered to the exact landing spot wherever you will be using the tub - you either move it yourself (not recommended) or you hire the Spa Delivery company to do so for an additional fee.
The process for getting our Integrity Spas Paradise model went like this -
The Hot Tub was ‘made to order’ - unless someone on the phone offers an ‘on hand’ model I’ve heard.
Once the Tub was manufactured, it was shipped via container to a local freight forwarding company in California.
They then had the tub shipped to a local warehouse in our area by LTL freight.
Then the local movers were contacted and THEY were the ones that delivered the Tub to our home. We had ‘Strong Movers’ in Dallas Texas deliver our spa - and they charged $400 even to the penny to get it all the way to our backyard, clear across the patio and placed exactly as we wanted under our Gazebo. (we contracted our local guy to hook up the electric - but they can do that as well if you want to pay extra)
We love the Paradise Model tub - it has more ‘oooommppphhhh’ in these jets than you can imagine - we have to turn one side down for my missus so she doesn’t get floated off the seat all the time. The Volcano jet in the middle is awesome, controls are easy to learn (turn all the pumps on and start turning the valves - you will see the big ones in the middle direct more air flow to one side or the other, and the little valves turn up or down the air pressure in the specific seating spots you are in). Each of the massaging spinning jets is individually adjustable as well - simply turn all the way to tighten the jet in place, then slowly turn back until the spinner is working at the pressure you want.
Lighting is pretty cool as well. NOTE: Press to turn on the Light, press again to turn off. If you don’t punch the button on/off on/off on/off in rapid succession, the next time you turn the lights on when you get in the tub the color or lighting option will remain the same. To alternate to a different color or effect - punch the light button 2 times real fast - to turn off, then back on again. Do this over and over again until you find the color or effect you want. Blue, Green, Red, Orange, Yellow, Purple, Fade from one color to the other, Blink from one color to the next, Strobe light quick blinking - all are possible - you just have to cycle through until you find the one you like. Lights are all along the waterline inside the tub, a big light at the footwell, and 4 corner lighting on the outside of the cabinetry looks cool as well at night.
Suggestions from a first time buyer:
1. When you get your tub, and it’s hooked up to electric - fill it, run it for at least an hour, drain it, clean up any gunk that will flush out of the pipes left over from the shipping and building process, then refill - balance with your chemicals as needed and you will be much happier. We don’t have a good ‘draining area’ - so I fixed that issue with a $48 sump pump from Amazon with my garden hose - run through the bedroom window right into the bathroom shower drain - The pump empties the tub near completely in just an hour without spilling 500 + gallons of hot water w/some chemicals on my yard. You can use the regular tub drain (gravity fed) to let the last little bit of water out, wipe clean the interior shell, clean your filters, refill and move on folks.
2. Get ‘Scumballs’ and put one in your filter area - they will trap any excess oils and gunk from normal use - just use it for month or two, get rid of it and toss in a new one.
3) Learn your maintenance and chemicals - we have found that 'Spa Marvel' works wonderfully for us - no hot rashes from chemicals, etc. Simply Drain and refill every 3 - 4 months when using on a regular basis, and pitch a little bit of Chlorine Granules after each use - our water stays crystal clear and clean smelling for 3 - 4 months !
4) If you are seriously considering The Paradise model - Highly recommended to get a ‘Cover Lifter’ because this thing is Heavy ! Being heavy it does it’s job well ! We set our tub @ 101 - 102 degrees and it holds steady so far very reliably. This is of course due to the heavy insulated construction, but the Cover has a major role in this factor. Again - this tub is 9’ x 7 ½’ - so it’s big - ergo a big cover - ergo - heavy folks. A cover lifter just makes thing much easier in life - especially if you use your tub often (which we do!)
